Aim & Scope

EWIJST: Open Access Policy

EWIJST provides open access to all of its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public, especially in developing countries, supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Benefits of Open Access:

1.    Wider Readership: Open access leads to increased readership beyond the boundary of the research and development community, thus increasing the benefits of knowledge on, and experience in, scientific research development presented in EWIJST.

2.    Greater Recognition: Open access also results in increased recognition and citation of authors' work.

Article Processing Charges (APC):

In order to help defray the costs of operations expenses (such as employees’ salaries, internet services, electricity etc.) and the loss of income from subscriptions, authors are requested to pay a nominal open access fee including article processing charge (APC): 

·      For residents outside India: US$ 200 

·      For residents within India: Rs 15,000/- only 

Discounts and Waivers:

SED India publishers recognize that not all researchers have the funding to cover APCs. Authors can request the editor for: 

·      Waiver Programs: Often fully or partially covering the fee for corresponding authors based in low-income or lower-middle-income countries or members of SED India. 

·      Institutional Agreements: SED India partners with universities (through programs like the Institutional Open Access Program) to offer automatic discounts to their affiliated researchers.
